I started my drumming career in a city located just outside the greater Detroit area, when I picked up my first pair of drum sticks, at the ripe age of 13. After a few years of getting familiar with my instrument, I started a band with a few of my friends called 'For The Taking', where we spent the next 3 years making a name for ourselves in the Detroit area and playing throughout the Michigan circuit. Into my first year of college, 'For The Taking' threw in the towel - feeling as though this was a great opportunity for progression, and that I could get new opportunities elsewhere, I decided to quit college, take a chance, and head out on the road with no destination in mind. Packing up my drums in my car, I headed to the coastline stopping at every major city up and down the east coast for the next couple of months, which some how landed me an audition in Southern California.
After flying out there and playing with a band for a short while, I decided to head back to Michigan, sell all of my possessions, and move out to San Diego, CA where I joined a band called 'The Miracle Of...'. After 2 years of playing for that band, I got a call to go on the road playing for 'A Dream Too Late' (Tooth and Nail records), which I played for until the band went on a indefinite hiatus in 2008.
At this conclusion, I decided to take some time off from playing and took a job doing Band Relations for a non-profit organization called 'Invisible Children', which threw me on tour with bands that supported our cause such as: Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Hey Monday, Thrice, Circa Survive, and many more - while educating people on the issues regarding the war in Northern Uganda. After 2 years with Invisible Children, I decided to part ways to, once again, pursue music, which took me to Nashville, TN where I currently reside.
